UserName and Password

1.  I have a Utility electricity and/or water account but do not have an e-ID. How can I log in?

You can apply for a portal account here and we will send you a username and password by post.

2.  I have a Utility electricity and/or water account and have an e-ID. How do I log in?

If you have an e-ID account you will still need to register here with your National ID. After registering use your e-id as a username and your corresponding e-id password. It is important to note that once you log in with your e-ID you will subsequently only be allowed to use your e-ID, as any other username and password previously used will be disabled.

3.  I forgot my username. How can I retrieve it?

Your user name was originally set as your Maltese National Identification Number (ID No). If however this fails to work, or if you are do not have a Maltese National Identification Number (ID No), kindly call Customer Care on Freephone 8007 2222.

4.  I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it?

If you are a registered user you may request your password via email by clicking here.

5.  I am an e-ID user and my e-ID password is not working. What should I do?

Before login with your e-ID you need to register here. If you have already registered and still experiencing problems you will need to contact the e-ID Registration Office. Alternatively you could register for a Utility account and password here, or call Customer Care on Freephone 8007 2222 and have your password reset.

6.  I have both an e-ID and a Utility password. Which should I use?

If you have already logged in with your e-ID you can discard the Utility account password that has been assigned to you, and continue using your e-ID. On the other hand, if you have never registered as a portal user, you can decide which password to use. It is important to note that, once you log in with your e-ID, your Utility password will become permanently disabled.

7.  My previous Utility password was disabled after I logged in with my e-ID password. Is this normal?

Yes, you can only have one active account. As long as you do not use your e-ID password, your Utility password is active. Once you log in with your e-ID your Utility password will become permanently disabled.

8.  What is a password Token?

This is a secure number which is sent to your e-mail and which allows you to change your password in a secure manner. The token is only generated for registered users who already have an on-line account. Please allow up to 5 minutes for this token to reach your e-mail. The mail will be sent from noreply@iubs.arms.com.mt – do not reply to this mail. If you have never registered you should access here. We will check that your Utility Account Number and your registered e-mail match prior to sending you the token. This token will allow you to input a new password.
